Kadkhodaian Behavioral Health Center (KBHC) to Open Doors in Delta County, Bringing Vital Mental Health Services.
Delta, CO – March 25th, 2025 – Delta County is poised to gain a valuable resource for mental health support with the grand opening and ribbon cutting by The Delta Area Chamber of Commerce for the new Kadkhodaian Behavioral Health Center on May 16, 2025 from 3pm-5pm. Adobo Food Truck will be serving Chicago style hot dogs and are donating 10% of proceeds to KBHC. The KBHCenter will be raffling free workshops and auctioning off 12 eggs a week for a year.
Founded by Dr. Ray and Jean Kadkhodaian, new residents of Delta County, the nonprofit center will provide comprehensive counseling services for children, adolescents, couples, and families, as well as peer support groups for the community.
Dr. Ray and Jean Kadkhodaian brings over 25 years of combined experience in mental health practice from their previous work in Chicago. Their dedication to serving under-served populations and their passion for fostering mental wellness have driven them to establish this much-needed resource in their new home.
“For the residents of Delta County, it does not come as a surprise that there is a lack of mental health resources, however having come from Chicago and being a new resident on the Western Slope, the lack of services was not only apparent to us but shocking. It brought up a huge calling within us to contribute to our community and help wherever we can. We recognized a significant need for accessible and comprehensive mental health services in Delta County,” said Dr. Ray Kadkhodaian. “Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can find the help they need to thrive.”

The Kadkhodaian Behavioral Health Center will offer a range of services, including:
Individual Counseling: Tailored therapy for children, adolescents, and adults addressing various mental health concerns.
Family Counseling: Support for strengthening relationships and navigating challenges within the family unit.
Couples Counseling: Couples therapy with a structured and developmental model customized to each couple that walks through our doors.
Peer Support Groups & Workshops: Facilitated groups providing a sense of community and shared experience for individuals facing similar struggles.
“We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the importance of both individual therapy and community support,” added Jean Kadkhodaian. “Our peer support groups will offer a valuable space for connection and mutual encouragement.”
The center’s nonprofit status will allow them to prioritize accessibility and affordability, ensuring that services are available to all residents of Delta County Colorado, regardless of their financial circumstances. A special thanks to Stirn Contracting on helping to design and build the center.
