Reclaiming Accountability, Restoring Community

Peer Support & Structured Recovery Programs at the KBH Center

True, lasting healing often thrives best in a community of shared lived experiences. While clinical therapy addresses deep psychological roots, our Peer Support programs at the KBH Center focus on daily accountability, cognitive restructuring, and mutual support.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we host evidence-based, structured peer groups open to any adult in Delta County who is committed to long-term recovery, personal growth, and breaking destructive cycles.

Our Structured Recovery Programs:

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) Groups
An Evidence-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Approach

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a premier, step-by-step cognitive-behavioral program designed to systematically improve decision-making, boost self-image, and help participants build a positive, productive lifestyle.

Rather than just focusing on temporary symptom management, MRT addresses the underlying thought patterns that lead to self-defeating behaviors. Through a structured, workbook-based curriculum, participants learn to redirect their choices, take absolute ownership of their lives, and establish a clear path forward in their recovery.

Who it’s for: Adults in recovery looking for a highly structured, accountable, and step-by-step group format.
Format: In-person weekly group cohorts.

Sovereign Roots Veteran Track

Specialized MRT for Those Who Served

Conducted in proud partnership with and hosted at the beautiful Sovereign Roots retreat center, this is a dedicated MRT track designed exclusively for our veteran community.

This program combines the proven, structured steps of Moral Reconation Therapy with a peaceful, supportive environment built by and for veterans. Led by peers who understand the unique challenges of military service, transition, and trauma, the Sovereign Roots track provides a sanctuary where veterans can heal together in solidarity and absolute confidentiality.

Who it’s for: Military veterans, active duty service members, and reserves.
Location: Hosted off-site at the Sovereign Roots retreat center.

Recovery Dharma Group

Mindfulness-Based, Peer-Led Mutual Support

Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement that uses Buddhist practices and principles to overcome the suffering of addiction. This program is completely non-dogmatic and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, faiths, and paths to recovery.

Centered on the belief that recovery is a process of awakening, this group utilizes meditation, mindfulness practices, community sharing, and the Four Noble Truths as a framework for healing. It provides a gentle, compassionate, and deeply reflective space to navigate recovery from all forms of addictive behaviors.

Who it’s for: Adults seeking a holistic, mindfulness-based, and non-theistic approach to recovery.
Format: Weekly peer-led community circles.
