MEET WILMA ERVEN
Wilma Erven brings an unparalleled legacy of public service, community leadership, and civic dedication to her role as Board Vice Chair for the KBH Center. A fixture in Delta County’s development and community wellness for decades, Wilma has served in several of the city’s most vital leadership positions, including serving as the former Delta City Manager.
Throughout her career with the City of Delta, Wilma has championed regional growth, wellness, and cultural preservation.
MEET Mitch Bramlage
Mitch Bramlage brings a wealth of financial acumen, strategic planning expertise, and a deep passion for community empowerment to the KBH Center Board of Directors. An Associate Financial Advisor with Edward Jones since 2019, Mitch has spent years helping families and businesses nationwide navigate complex investment and long-term planning needs, guiding them steadily even through periods of market volatility.
Mitch’s professional dedication is rooted in a profound belief in the power of education. Having seen firsthand early in life how a lack of financial guidance can impact long-term outcomes, he is passionate about empowering others to understand the importance of disciplined planning, retirement preparation, and sustainable wealth management.
MEET CALVIN JAVIER
Dr. Calvin Javier brings over 27 years of distinguished clinical experience and medical leadership to his role as Board Chair for the KBH Center. A dedicated diagnostic radiology specialist, Dr. Javier has spent his career serving patients across the Chicago, Illinois area. He completed his medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1999 and subsequently completed his residencies at Swedish Covenant Hospital and St. Francis Hospital of Evanston.
MEET Dennis Doerer
Dennis Doerer brings a valuable blend of healthcare operations, corporate business management, and deep-rooted local expertise to the KBH Center Board of Directors. Since 2005, he has served in Provider Relations at Hartman Brothers Medical, cultivating strong networks across regional healthcare systems.
Dennis’s career seamlessly bridges clinical system development and civic leadership. He previously served as the Director of Business and Networking for Memorial Regional Health’s psychiatric unit, and is well-known locally as the former owner of the Delta Dairy Queen. Deeply invested in the community, Dennis currently serves as the Membership Chair for the Delta Rotary Club.
An avid pickleball player and mountain biker, Dennis utilizes his unique intersection of clinical networking and business acumen to help KBH Center fortify its partnerships and expand sustainable peer support and counseling services across the Western Slope.
MEET Sam Kevan
Dr. Sam Kevan brings over 52 years of diverse medical expertise and distinguished community leadership to the KBH Center Board of Directors. A 1974 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Kevan completed his family practice residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. His remarkable 42-year clinical career spanned family medicine with obstetrics across Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado, before he transitioned to full-time emergency medicine, including serving at Grand River Health Care and practicing locally in Delta.
MEET Gayle Tomkiewicz
Gayle brings over 30 years of premier healthcare IT and client services leadership to the KBH Center Board of Directors. Throughout her distinguished career, she has developed a deep expertise in optimizing operations across physician practices, ambulatory networks, and major hospital systems.
Gayle’s extensive background spans complex healthcare business environments, including Clinical Integration Networks, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). A specialist in modern compliance, data integrity, and secure workflows, her in-depth knowledge of physician practice operations, medical billing, and HIPAA-compliant data infrastructure is a vital asset to our center.
As a board member, Gayle combines her decades of operational leadership with KBH Center’s nonprofit mission, helping to ensure data privacy, regulatory compliance, and sustainable mental health and peer support services across Delta County.

She is the former Director of Culture, Parks and Recreation, and spent years fostering community health and connection as the Director of Delta’s Bill Heddles Recreation Center. Her deep commitment to honoring the region’s rich heritage is further reflected in her past leadership as the Executive Director of the Ute Council Tree Pow Wow, as well as her current role as Committee Chair for the Delta Downtown Partnership (DDP) Downtown National Historic Designation Committee.
In addition to her extensive background in municipal administration and community planning, Wilma is a deeply compassionate advocate for local health and supportive care networks, serving as a current member of the HopeWest Delta Advisory Board. As Board Vice Chair, Wilma harnesses her vast knowledge of local infrastructure, community advocacy, and administrative strategy to help guide the KBH Center’s mission, ensuring that accessible, high-quality behavioral health and peer recovery services continue to reach individuals and families throughout the Western Slope.

Mitch and his wife, Angela, moved from Oklahoma to Colorado in 2017, proudly making the Western Slope their home. They have four children and one grandchild, with their family deeply connected to the region—including his son Dylan, a business finance graduate from Colorado Mesa University, and his youngest son Austin, who lives in Grand Junction and is preparing to enlist in the U.S. Army.
Outside of his professional life, Mitch is an outdoor enthusiast who loves exploring Colorado by Jeep, fishing, hiking, playing racquetball, and working in his yard. Believing that strong organizations—like strong communities—are built on face-to-face relationships, Mitch is proud to dedicate his financial leadership and community-first mindset to supporting KBH Center’s clinical counseling and peer recovery missions.

Throughout his nearly three decades in medicine, he has managed panels of patients presenting with complex, chronic conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes. His commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in his exceptional 84.6 out of 100 quality rating from Medicare’s quality assessment program, highlighting his deep alignment with evidence-based care standards.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Javier is actively expanding his operational leadership capabilities through enrollment in the ASQ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification course. This specialized training in systemic efficiency, quality improvement, and strategic problem-solving provides the KBH Center with invaluable oversight. As Board Chair, Dr. Javier combines his extensive medical background and operational insight to champion data-driven compliance, organizational growth, and high-quality behavioral health and peer support initiatives across Delta County.

Throughout his decades of patient care, Dr. Kevan was recognized as a compassionate family physician dedicated to comprehensive, patient-centered primary care. He built his practice on empathy, respect, and holistic treatment plans, treating generations of families with a strong emphasis on preventive health and chronic disease management.
Beyond his clinical contributions, Dr. Kevan is a pillar of civic leadership on the Western Slope. A dedicated Rotarian since 1978 and a member of the Delta Rotary Club, he served as the Rotary District Governor for District 5470 (2022-2023). He is a passionate supporter of the Rotary Foundation as a Major Donor and Paul Harris Society member. Locally, he has a history as the team physician for the Delta High School football team, a volunteer for the local homeless shelter, and an active member of the Delta United Methodist Church.
In his retirement, Dr. Kevan enjoys an active lifestyle of biking, walking, gardening, and flying, alongside his musical pursuits playing piano and organ. He and his wife, Lana, have four children and ten grandchildren. As a board member, Dr. Kevan pairs his deep institutional medical knowledge with a profound commitment to community welfare to help guide KBH Center’s clinical integrity and peer support missions.
